Prof. Andrew Chesterman (Uniwersytet w Helsinkach) to jeden ze współtwórców nowoczesnych Translation Studies, autor m.in. książek Memes of Translation. The spread of ideas in translation theory (1997, nowe wyd. 2017), Contrastive Functional Analysis (1998), Can Theory Help Translators? A Dialogue Between the Ivory Tower and the Wordface (z Emmą Wagner 2002); The Map. A Beginners’ Guide to Doing Research in Translation Studies (z Jemmy Williams, 2002) oraz licznych artykułów zebranych ostatnio w tomie Reflections on Translation Theory: Selected Papers 1993 – 2014 (2017).

Prof. Andrew Chesterman (University of Helsinki) is one of the key figures in contemporary Translation Studies, author of Memes of Translation. The spread of ideas in translation theory (1997, revised edition 2017), Contrastive Functional Analysis (1998), Can Theory Help Translators? A Dialogue Between the Ivory Tower and the Wordface (with Emma Wagner 2002); The Map. A Beginners’ Guide to Doing Research in Translation Studies (with Jemmy Williams, 2002), as well as many articles recently collected in Reflections on Translation Theory: Selected Papers 1993 – 2014 (2017).
